Title: Football Culture - supporting the HJC and Zoe's Place
Post by: Rushian on April 25, 2007, 08:07:46 am

Everyone's favourite Red poet Dave Kirby (aka Braces and Boots) has brought together some of his finest work in a new book called "Football Culture: Terrace Verse". Donations from the book go towards two local causes close to the hearts of many, the Hillsborough Justice Campaign Centre and Zoe's Place baby hospice.

Launched with the help of the Liverpool Echo and the official LFC website the book is available online from Dave's website (£4.99 + £2.50 p&p):

http://www.footballculture.co.uk

and from the following local outlets:

W.H. Smiths, Church Street, Liverpool, L1 3EG (Map).
The HJC shop, 178 Walton Breck Road, Liverpool, L4 0RG (Map).
Bookworm, Telegraph Way, Kirkby, Merseyside, L32 8US (Map).

Football Culture brings together in print for the first time much of Dave's recent work which he has performed to great acclaim on LFC nights at Anfield. The 96-page 'House Of Scouse' publication has already seen Zoe's Place benefit to the tune of £750 and has raised hundreds for the HJC.

We cannot recommend this book highly enough. Get your copy now and as well as enjoying some great Red poetry, you'll be supporting two very worthy causes.
