I'm not a fan of other clubs' chants but it would seem appropriate to have a chorus or two of Can We Play Manchester Every Week in the Cup...
The immediate post match rosy glow is still aflame like a ready brek ad from the 70's but the rose tinted specs won't hide a couple of deficiencies...
We at times still looked lost up front when we only have one, that is Andy Carroll. BUT what a game he had, perhaps his most committed since joining and one day, oneday his last minute traditional header off the crossbar will dip in.
Agger was best of our defenders, Martin S at times was rushed and made the wrong decision, for eg late on, blocking a shot that was going well wide. It was nice to see Carra out but his, Gerrard's and Maxi's substitutions changed the game for us. The team suddenly reminded me of early on in the season when we were free flowing rather than circumspect and one up.
Still, Evra's a twat and Ferguson lost and I'm happy. Thoughts from m'learn'd colleagues? |
