Title: Your chance to win the 1986 and 1989 FA Cup Finals on DVD
Post by: Rushian on September 17, 2004, 06:28:56 pm
Monday (20th September) sees the release by ILC Sport of their 1980s FA Cup Final Classic Collection. Included in this collection are Liverpool's famous victories in the 1986 and 1989 Cup finals over Everton, and Red and White Kop has got a copy of each DVD to give away.

The 1986 DVD includes the full match coverage by ITV (with commentary by Brian Moore) from the teams lining up in the tunnel through to the celebrations of carrying the cup around Wembley, and then interviews with many of the ecstatic players after coming off the pitch decked in scarves, hats and flags. The first all Merseyside Cup Final, Liverpool sealed the double with a classic 3-1 comeback win after trailing at halftime. Grobbelaar's superb save from Sharp (and his argument with Jim Beglin) and Rush's brace of goals sandwiching Johnston's effort saw Liverpool fans celebrating again just a week after King Kenny had clinched the League title at Stamford Bridge.

To win the 1986 DVD we want to know how many goals Ian Rush scored in our FA Cup run in 1986? Send your answer (with "1986 Final" as the subject of the message) to:

The 1989 DVD takes the BBC match coverage for the emotional game played in the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster. Once again Everton were our opponents as the whole of Merseyside joined together in remembering those who had died just a month previously. John Motson provides a suitably understated commentary from the teams lining up in the tunnel, through the minute's silence and Liverpool and Everton fans joining together to sing You'll Never Walk Alone, and then taking in the full match, a dramatic 3-2 win after extra time with another pair of Rush goals.

To win the 1989 DVD we want to know who wore the number 9 shirt for Liverpool in our 3-2 win? Send your answer (with "1989 Final" as the subject of the message) to:

Both DVDs are available from Monday at £5.99 each and available from the club shop, and all the usual online and high street retailers.
