Title: Everton 2-2 Liverpool: Round Table discussion
Post by: The 5th Benitle on October 28, 2012, 04:21:55 pm
The major talking point is of course the disallowed goal, but there's much more to discuss than that. Feel free to generalise your thoughts but some discussion points:

Without wishing to sound harsh on Brad Jones, I think this game showed why some of us were nervous about him. The punch for Everton's second wasn't great but I was more concerned with his distribution, he did seem to give it back so that Everton could attack us quite a few times.

The tactical rethink: How impressed were you with our reshuffle at half time? Showed that Rodgers has much more in his locker than just a 4-3-3 did it not. How did you see the game changing tactically with this switch?

Luis Suarez...the man continues to be the centre of everything. Brilliance and controversy all wrapped up in one little package. We were concerned he might be tired after the Anzhi game, but he looked sharper than ever. What did you make of his footballing performance today? And of course the celebration of the first goal ;)

Finally, I was encouraged in general by the display. Were you? What in particular was of encouragement for the future?
